V.A. - Metro Buskers

The London Metroline Netlabel releases Metro Buskers – a compilation with tracks by Ekkohaus, J-Lab, Maurizio Vitiello, Octad, Panum, Phiorio, Phooka, Raw and Tony Guinnes. Half of the contributions are by artists out of London’s minimal posse, the other half by Italian producers, a result Metroline’s strong connections to the Mediterranean country.

Musically, Metro Buskers is set within Minimal Techno. Very convincing, Metroline is staying true its own flavour within this genre and promote a ravey sound with powerful kicks and heavy bass sounds. This is particularly obvious with Maurizio Vitiello’s contribution.

Personally, I am not a big fan of compilations, as there is often a lack of combining element between the songs. Metro Buskers is no exception there. However, the nine tracks are all of great quality and have strong a character each of its own… and what else does a netaudio-DJ want, really?! Cheers, Metroline!
