Krill.minima -cancelled (Archipel, Thinner - DE)
due to a clash of bookings Martin won’t be able to make it to London Netaudio’06. We hope to organise something with him on a future netaudio event. Krill.minima is the exotic ambient project of Martin Juhls from Dortmund, Germany. Also recording under his housey clickdub moniker “Falter” and the orchestral inspired “Marsen Jules”.
Krill.minima is about the idea of mixing warmth, emotion and pop-appeal with exotic and experimental sounds, modern soundhack, clicking rhythms and ambient constructions. Piere Henry is quoted as saying “Everything I hear is available material” which is very close to Martins’ compositional technique: “Mostly, when I start producing a new track or project I have a clear sonic picture, emotion and atmosphere in mind which I want to conceive. Then I start collecting the sounds, chords and fragments I think could work to create a comparable acoustic surrounding.”
