Sepia Hours (Sundays in Spring, Polymorphic, Beat is Murder - BE)
Sepia Hours is an indietronica, experimental and post-modern song writing project by Sébastien Biset, historian of art and musician from Belgium. An emphasis on fragmented forms, discontinuous narratives, and randomly perceived collages of different materials and emotions. Through different netlabel releases (Sundays in Spring, Beat is Murder, Social Fashion Records, Sutemos, Polymorphic) and performances, Sepia Hours needs to control his explorations.
His blurry low key vocals wander through some interesting soundscapes created from gently slipping amalgams of guitar lines, splintered minimalism and the odd unexpected sonic detour. Between minimalism, indie songs, experimentation and electronics, whispers and veiled samplers, sound investigations try to come as pure organic material. Breathing, whispers, screams, complaint, joy, itinerary, steps and traces…
